CATEMS AFRICA VENTURES LTD TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please be advised that before booking a tour with Catems Africa Ventures, you should
familiarize yourself with the terms and conditions of the travel contract, which cover all of the
services provided. These terms include; itinerary, price lists, brochure/website information,
cancellation and refund policies, and the booking confirmation.
Website Application of the Terms and Conditions
Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel endeavors to provide accurate, up-to-date and truthful
information on this site. The company makes no representations or give any warranties, whether
expressly, tacitly or implied, as to the operation of the website, the information, content,
materials and products.
Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel, its employees, agents and associates will not be liable
for any damage of whatsoever nature arising or resulting from the use or inability to use this site.
This includes but is not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive and consequential damage.
Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel will treat all personal information you give us as
strictly confidential. No personal information will be made available to third parties, unless
obliged to do so by law or legal process.
Booking
Kindly double-check that you include all of the tourists and locals’ accurate names, nationality,
and dates of birth as listed on the passports before making your reservation. Catems Africa
Ventures Tours and Travel will make an effort to provide you with an alternative
accommodation of comparable quality and destination if a hotel is filled to capacity.
A booking is binding for both the client/guests and travel/tour agency once the deposit has been
paid.
Payment conditions
Unless otherwise stated in the trip schedule or special tour-related practical information on our
website, the following regulations apply.
A 30% down payment per person of the tour’s total cost is required at the time of reservation.
The balance of the money must be made not later than four weeks before departure. Catems
Africa Ventures Tours and Travel will not be able to confirm the client’s reservation if the due
date for the balance has passed.
All payments must be made to Catems Africa Ventures bank accounts either by credit card,
electronic funds transfer or SWIFT payments. Regularly, payments are cleared in not later than
five to seven business days.
Cancellation
Except otherwise specified in the tour schedule or even the relevant practical details on our
website, the following regulations apply.
Cancellation by the clients
If the customer cancels a tour up to 60 days prior to departure the deposit will be lost. If
cancellation is made within 59-30 days prior to departure, a penalty fee of 65% of the total price
of the tour will be charged. For any cancellation made within 29-15 days before departure, a
penalty fee of 85% will apply. In the case of cancellations made less than 14 days before the start
of the tour we are unable to offer any reimbursement. No refunds will be given by Catems Africa
Ventures tours and travel Travel for no-shows.
The payment of bank fees for credit card payments and/or bank transfers are the responsibility of
the customer and are strictly non-refundable.
The trip may be cancelled with no penalty charge should war, a life-threatening epidemic, or any
other natural catastrophe or similar event occur within 14 days prior to departure. This will
however be on the condition that your government advises against travelling to the specific area,
and that the situation in question has arisen after the booking of the tour was made.
Cancellations must be made in writing and delivered either by hand, post, fax or electronic mail.
In the case of death or serious illness, special cancellation terms can be negotiated if Catems
Africa Ventures Tours and Travel is presented with an officially-approved death/sickness
certificate.
Cancellation by the travel agency
If Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel must cancel a vacation or service for whichever
reason, we will endeavor to give you the option of an alternative arrangement; if not, you will get
a full refund. We will make every effort to notify you of whatever cancellations as expeditiously
as possible, but no later than 14 days prior to the start of the tour.
The trip could also be canceled owing to unforeseen events that neither we nor our collaborators
may well have predicted (force majeure). Clients will receive a refund for the trip cost in certain
circumstances, but they cannot submit any further expenditure claims. In the event of one of the
listed emergencies, Catems Africa Ventures tours & travel will make every effort to provide the
client with a suitable solution.
Travel Documents
Whenever travel documents other than an invoice are required, these will be emailed or posted to
the booking party upon receipt of the full payment.
Other travel documents may include detailed flight schedules (if included in the purchase),
vouchers and an itinerary that includes pre-booked services for your destination. If you are
participating in a tour with a guide or in an event described in the program, you will not normally
be given a voucher beforehand.
Passports and Visas
Unless otherwise specified, obtaining a passport and visa for entry to the country/countries in
which the tour takes place is the responsibility of the traveler.
The traveler must ensure that he/she has a valid passport and visa and has given the travel agency
the correct information regarding his/her name and nationality, etc. We draw your attention to
the fact that the processing of visas may take several weeks. The travel agency cannot be held
responsible for travelers who for whatever reason may be denied entry at a border.
Please be aware that rules and regulations may change between the time of booking and the time
of departure.
Also, please note that there may be visa requirements when in transit. Your passport must
normally be valid for a period of at least six months after returning from your destination.
If you require any essential travel documents in order to apply for a visa, we are always delighted
to provide them for you.
Vaccination Requirements
Consult with your Primary care physician and otherwise doctor to learn more about the
immunizations that are necessary. Any recommendations made by Catems Africa Ventures
Tours and Travel on vaccines, preventative measures, and other such medical opinion should
always be viewed as either an extra service. We are really not equipped to make such
recommendations and we assume no responsibility for them.
Changes in Prices
Tour operators are permitted by law to increase the agreed sum of tour costs in response to rising
transportation expenses (including higher fuel prices), changed taxes, levies, and fees, as well as
shifting currency exchange rates.

All rates for the services are as published on website. Before you make a reservation, Catems
Africa Ventures Tours & Travel retains the right to modify the costs. Price changes, whether any,
will be confirmed by Catems Africa Ventures Tours & Travel along with the confirmation of
your reservation. Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel has no influence over the costs of
some services, including but not limited to park admission fees, government surcharges, and
airport taxes. Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel will charge the customer an extra at cost
if these prices are altered at any time.
Changes in the itinerary
Once a tour is scheduled and confirmed, the travel agency cannot make significant changes to the
itinerary. Therefore, it is crucial that you make any particular requests for the reservation clear so
that they can be noted on the invoice and booking voucher. This will make it easier to get the
services and holidays you want. In attempt to take advantage of regional and weather conditions
and perhaps other occurrences, we may make last-minute alterations to several of the most
“thrilling” experiences. The passenger must accept that changes brought on by the climate
condition and issues with the infrastructures may emerge. As a result, no compensation will be
given for cancellations and delays that occur on the day of a 24-hour period during the tour.
Travel Insurance
Throughout every tour, each traveler ought to have travel insurance. Regarding transportation in
the event of illness in addition to repatriation towards other situations, this is of utmost
importance.
Visitors are required to follow the instructions of Catems Africa Ventures tours and Travel and
our agents since participating in our trips presupposes a responsible and courteous behavior
toward yourself as well as other individuals. We mostly don’t advise travelers to navigate alone
in strange or distant regions, particularly at night.
Taxes and Tariffs
The cost of the journey includes a variety of taxes and tariffs that are imposed upon the issuance

anything (including vehicles) utilized by any supplier for the provision of any service. Neither
will Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel accept liability for any shortcomings of service
caused by an act or omission of any supplier or its employees or agents.
Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel shall not be liable for any loss or expense arising from
the loss of property, cancellation or curtailment of the tour however caused, save to the extent
that such loss of baggage, cancellation or curtailment was caused directly by the negligence of
Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel.
If sickness or an accident interrupts a tour, Catems Africa Ventures tours and Travel shall not be liable for any subsequent cost or expense, save only to the extent that such sickness or accident was caused beyond any reasonable doubt by a willful act of Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel or by gross negligence. Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel shall not be liable for any refund, either total or partial, of passage money paid and we recommend that travelers take out the necessary insurance to protect against such an eventuality.
In the case of a claim being made, Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel must receive said claim in writing no later than 28 days from the end of our services under the contract. Where any payment is made, you will assign to Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel or our insurers any right you may have to pursue any third party in relation to the claim and provide us with your full co-operation.
In general, please note our responsibilities and obligations apply only in respect to those services which Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel agrees to arrange or provide on your behalf.
Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel cannot accept any liability for any services arranged by yourself.
Clients Responsibility
You must be familiar with the details listed above, in addition to the website information, on
invoice, itinerary, and you must abide by the rules listed above in order to participate in a trip.
Additionally, it is required that you look for the most recent information on subjects pertaining to
the political, medical, ecological, and climatic circumstances at your destinations.
Claims
Whenever a complaint arises, it must be made to Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel as well as our local representative as soon as possible such that we may attempt to resolve the situation. Should customers remain unhappy, contact us within 4 weeks of the tour’s conclusion and specify your grievance. Any concerns that we are not fully notified of in line with this paragraph cannot be handled by Catems Africa Ventures Tours and Travel.
All legal disputes must be resolved in Nairobi, Kenya, if they occur.
